8. Undertake more truthful and comprehensive training for foster parents.
Address the subject of allegations. Stressing the importance of and offering innovative training on proper procedures for documentation. A well trained, more professional foster parent is an asset, especially if they are made aware of what they can expect. Foster caregivers are an essential partner of this system. They are needed to provide a safe, loving, caring and stable “stop-gap” place for the children trapped within this system. It is imperative that these foster caregivers be totally familiar with all policies and procedures of the agency and be kept updated on any new changes that are made.
