9. Agencies should be required to provide Foster Parents with legal services.

As our Preamble states, “equal justice” should be everyone, not just social workers, and the children the foster parents serve.

They should also be “required” to instruct and warn the foster caregivers of the likelihood of them being charged with serious violations called “allegations” and be told that the agency will “not” stand behind them in support until the problem is solved. 

As it stands now, whenever a problem occurs…especially “allegations” of one sort or another, everyone has legal representation assigned to them “except” the foster caregivers.  If they are to have legal representation they must “pay” for it and most of the time finding an attorney that is equipped to handle the case is very difficult.
